I call it the "Tax on Stupid" for a reason. If our Mega-Millions hits a high number, the wife and I will sometimes put 1$ on it. Sometimes stupid gets lucky.

I've never really cared much about people losing their ass playing the lottery or gambling. If they can't understand the infinitesimal odds of them coming out ahead, that's their own problem. If they didn't have legalized gambling to throw their money away on they would find something else. They are sheep looking to be fleeced.
