Decision for parents not the State regarding male circumcision. (Debatable with science) The State for FGM (Undebatable with science)

Decision for fucking no one until the child in question is an adult. An infant is not some doll for you to carve and tattoo, it's a fucking person. If he chooses to get circumcised once he's old enough that's ok, but it's not in any way ok for anyone else to do so before then.

I take you to be saying that if the state is an apologist for GM, then the parents can still be informed and decide against it, whereas if the state requires GM by force, then parents cannot go against it. Fair point. I would still criticize the state for being an apologist, but that would be putting it on a pedestal. The despicable people in the AAP which don't denounce this have far more to answer for, since they have both knowledge and authority.
