Can anyone give me convincing evidence that they don't exist?
[–] 9-11 [S] ago
we haven't found any. we've never seen evidence of life anywhere else and thus only one genesis event has occurred that we know of.

http://www.hawking.org.uk/life-in-the-universe.html
You are arguing against hawking and statistics
The statistical probability that we are the universal origin of intelligent life, and that we are anything greater than amino acids is outstanding.
In an infinite universe there is the statistical ability to create the arrangement of components that something may have the ability to form into life, but that still doesn't guarantee life.
For me the likely answer is aliens are real, they exist, and are abstaining from contact with us. When I say us, I mean peasant class, non governmental entities.

'Robert Bigelow, whose company Bigelow Aerospace has built expandable space habitats for the ISS, was speaking in an interview with 60 minutes on Sunday. ', "Nasa's first attempt to inflate an extendable room on the International Space Station had failed the week before due to too much friction."
'The flexible habitat, known as the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module (Beam), fully extended 1.7 metre (5.6 ft). '
'Last May, Bigelow Aerospace - in partnership with Nasa - inflated an expandable room on the International Space Station (ISS) for the first time. '
'WHAT IS THE BIGELOW EXPANDABLE ACTIVITY MODULE? BEAM (CGI pictured) was the first inflatable space habitat ever attached to the International Space Station (ISS) Beam is the first inflatable space habitat to be attached to the International Space Station (ISS). '
