My mom (who doesn't follow politics at. all.) asked me last night what the government was trying to hide with all these things that people are getting happy about. Banning the confederate flag, gay marriage. The answer is the TPP. It's all smoke to distract us from the TPP.

And Obama is one of the worst lying presidents we've had. Even worse than Bush and we knew where he stood from the start.

I've been saying it for a while that liberals are far more dangerous than conservatives. They're both corporate stooges but at least conservatives don't hide it. Liberals on the other hand throw a fuckton of distractions at the public which they exploit to keep pretending they're Left and hide the disgusting neoliberal policies they're trying to push.

And it's not just in USA. If you take a look at reddit's europe sub it's exactly the same. A bunch of pseudo-intellectual pseudo-left morons supporting neoliberal scumbags like Merkel and Juncker, oh, and gay marriage of course!

You just basically summed up Hillary Clinton's campaign in a nutshell.

They both hide it. It's just one side hides it from actual conservatives by pretending to be conservative, and one side hides it from actual liberals by pretending to be liberal. When really they are both corporatist.

They're one in the same honestly. Just different puppeteers pulling the same strings.

I would like to point out that not all on either side of the proverbial fence are that way.

On the other hand, however, they are ultimately the same. There was a video series I watched some time ago that explained why any democratic system ultimately narrows down to a two-party system. Later, it explains why they end up being pro-business and less "pro-people." Wish I could find it again.

It usually takes 4-8 years for people to realize the position of president is nothing but a sham. Bought and sold by the highest corporate bidder. It's been this way since the industrial revolution. Which is why we see no historians in the white house, to remind us of our mistakes. Keep the masses fat and happy with cheap goods while big companies make more money. but the next candidate says he/she will be different. And the next, and the next.....staus-quo of runaway capitalism.

You only had to look at his voting record to separate fact from fiction.

Holy shit that makes a lot of sense. And yeah, it's better to have an authentic idiot than a lying hypocrite. The one thing that we can always count on is for a US President to have the state's best interest at heart -- which, increasingly, seems to be completely disconnected from the interests of the people living in it.

The state? Nah. The state is just a tool. The one thing we can always count on is money, that is, that politicians support whoever gives them the most money. And that's it. Nobody in power stands for anything, because those who stand for things are excluded from power.

I wouldn't say he's worse than Bush. G.W.B.'s lies are what led to all of this shit. Iraq, fake WMDs, PATRIOT Act, NSA spying, GITMO torture, all of it stemmed from that administration. Obama is just continuing the lies.

The thing is, you knew what to expect from bush. He may call it "liberating" a country, but you knew where he stood. For all his Orwellian language, you knew exactly what his goals were.

Obama says one thing and does the complete opposite. He acts like a progressive, but signs the kind of laws that you would expect from a republican. His healthcare system is pretty much a health care privatization wet dream. It's exactly what privatization of social security would look like. This trade deal is something bush started, that Obama agrees with. That should tell you something.
