Your president gives mixed messages you know. On one hand he's against the confederate flag on the other he indirectly supports slavery. It's as if this confederate flag "controversy" is a PR stunt to distract the American public while the neoliberal scumbag pushes for a highly immoral trade deal that will further help corporations on their crusade to completely take over your country.

It's as if Obama is, was and will always be a lying, deceiving corporate puppet.

My mom (who doesn't follow politics at. all.) asked me last night what the government was trying to hide with all these things that people are getting happy about. Banning the confederate flag, gay marriage. The answer is the TPP. It's all smoke to distract us from the TPP.

And Obama is one of the worst lying presidents we've had. Even worse than Bush and we knew where he stood from the start.

I've been saying it for a while that liberals are far more dangerous than conservatives. They're both corporate stooges but at least conservatives don't hide it. Liberals on the other hand throw a fuckton of distractions at the public which they exploit to keep pretending they're Left and hide the disgusting neoliberal policies they're trying to push.

And it's not just in USA. If you take a look at reddit's europe sub it's exactly the same. A bunch of pseudo-intellectual pseudo-left morons supporting neoliberal scumbags like Merkel and Juncker, oh, and gay marriage of course!

Holy shit that makes a lot of sense. And yeah, it's better to have an authentic idiot than a lying hypocrite. The one thing that we can always count on is for a US President to have the state's best interest at heart -- which, increasingly, seems to be completely disconnected from the interests of the people living in it.

[–] Treysef 1 points 1 points (+2|-1) ago

I wouldn't say he's worse than Bush. G.W.B.'s lies are what led to all of this shit. Iraq, fake WMDs, PATRIOT Act, NSA spying, GITMO torture, all of it stemmed from that administration. Obama is just continuing the lies.

[–] Tialah 1 points 17 points (+18|-1) ago

The flag news, Rachel Doslov (seriously who cares) and the gay marriage laws were all distractions. They could have passed the marriage law years ago, yet they wait till this week? The week that the TPP is going through the Senate? Hmm..

[–] Guerilla 2 points 7 points (+9|-2) ago  (edited ago)

Gay marriage was going to pass anyway, the new generations support gay rights and it's the logical thing to do so it was absolutely inevitable. The media circus the last decade and a half was just one of the distractions while corporations were pillaging USA.

[–] DorkJedi 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

They passed anti-gay marriage laws in 2004. No new laws were passed, the old ones were overturned by the SCOTUS. The SCOTUS agreed to hear the case as soon as it reached them.

Your credibility as an informed person takes a major hit when you don't know such simple basics of what is going on.

Nigger entertainers were widely accepted even in times of slavery, and that's exactly what Obama is. The NSA hands him his lines and he goes off singing and dancing while the American public eats it up, completely unaware of the prison being built around them.

i hate the association make between black people and slaves. black people are not inherently related to slavery. there have been more slaves of other ethnicities than there have been blacks.

[–] peacegnome 3 points 17 points (+20|-3) ago

Only black people have been slaves, this happened only in america; and the only time more than 100 people of a single ethnicity died was the holocaust, and only jewish people died in it. Also, native americans were cultureless savages, who attacked the settlers, and willingly sold their land to the europeans.

Slavery could be a bit of an issue with Barack Hussein Obama (these are ALL Muslim names for a reason to distinguish him as a slave OWNER famly). And that being the thing - he had slave-owners/traders on both sides of his family. Not that he knew anything about Africa or his African sperm-donor but for what its worth they are from the Slave-trader heritage and history. And his mother had slave-owners.

So Obamas family tree is all slave-owning, slave-trading BUT realistically I don't buy into any of that nonsense where they find out some black guy or white guy had slave-owners in his family tree as if that matters today. I suppose I have Vikings in my distant heritage who were slave-owners. I suppose probably some of those slaves are in my DNA.

Anyways, just maybe interesting that Obama comes from a big slavery family. For what its worth - In Indonesia to this day there are still what WE'D CONSIDER to be slaves. Its not really called that. The wealthy Muslims will 'employ' poor people (usually Muslims but not always) and they really are 'slaves' by OUR STANDARDS for sure. As in the boss basically owns their 'bodies' 24/7 and can beat the shit out of them, have sex with the women if necessary, give or take food from them, lock them inside etc.

Barry Soweto would have undoubtedly seen that in his lifetime in Indonesia. So basically slavery slavery all over Obamas life and family history.

I think U failed to mention that OBAMA Papa was INDONESIAN CIA, so they would not have had a few slaves they would have had 100's. That Obama knew first hand at informative years what it mean to have control over people's live absolute power to fuck, kill anyone U wish. Grandma in Hawaii was a CIA banker, ... every element of OBama family tree is CIA. Thus Obama was tied to the most evil fucking people on earth in INDO, no doubt he learned early what it meant to control people as you wish.

Always be wary when you see a lack of debate on a huge issue with bi-partisan support. It usually means it's great for the rich and powerful and shit for everyone else.

[–] carlip 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

That is the effect of the real problem. People are susceptible to large amount of money, you and I are the same as the congressional trolls. Self interest and greed are the values they hold, and corporations have disposable capital to "invest". Its not just Republicans its all political figures, even 3rd or 4th party players, but from a corporate standpoint there is no reason to invest in them since they have basically no power.(I know catch 22)

This problem isn't going away anytime soon.

Edit: Wait, are you my long lost twin?

[–] Ulluses 0 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago

Unfortunately those customers will be paying vastly less money, so in the end you still lose. Or the US does anyway, the companies involved aren't going to sink that debt, they'll pass it into to the government.

The logic goes like this: it's the economy, stupid.

Seriously, a significant percentage of the population -- especially in the US from my experience -- believe that anything that makes business profits grow is automatically a good thing for everyone. That this notion is false doesn't really matter, we still go on having boners for other people's growing profits.

[–] AlderaanDuran 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago  (edited ago)

anything that makes business profits grow is automatically a good thing for everyone

I mean, that is actually a fairly true statement, kind of. The problem is where the profits get distributed. Is it to more workers? A growing workforce? Stock holders? Higher taxes for successful businesses? Or is it just going to line the pockets of the already super rich? Businesses doing better and getting more profits is a very good thing, IF it was actually going to reduce the wage gap and increase the US market for better and more high paying jobs.

I wouldn't say it's entirely false. I mean I'm not naive, I know these profits will probably go to the super rich and the wealth gap would only increase, but that's a separate issue that's already happening whether we have beneficial trade deals in place or not. It's a separate issue that definitely needs to be dealt with. The whole "trickle down" bullshit isn't working.

Obama has sold his soul. At this point some big players are making some big post-Presidential promises to him in return for just handing the keys to the kingdom over while he still has power. He's not even pretending to be a populist champion anymore. He has been corrupted to the core.

Look back to how genuine he seemed in 2008. Is there anyone the Presidency can't ruin? I'm afraid even Bernie Sanders will end up enticed by something too good to resist.
