I said secessionist sentiment in the South surpasses that in the Northeast. I said nothing about California or the PNW. You might actually try addressing what I say rather than what you wish I'd said.

And I don't have a problem with Southerners. I dislike the Confederacy as a historical matter though and modern secessionist sentiment that is inspired by it. A lot of Southerners get stupidly sucked into defending that nonsense out of pride or for ancestral or sentimental reasons, but no, I've no beef with the South as such.

Oh you're right. You said Northeast. Because that makes such a valid point. You know what else runs higher in the South than the Northeast? Heat. Fried food. Agriculture. Your point is even less relevant than when I extrapolated it to where it MIGHT be relevant. Maybe you should make a point that isn't a puff of hot air with no real meaning.

And I don't have a problem with Southerners.

Bullshit. Your comments have been disparaging Southerners because of their confederacy connection. I'm still going to laugh at your ''secessionist sentiment'' even though Southerners are stereotypically, and truly, the most overly patriotic people. But nah, you TOTALLY have nothing against Southerners.

Well, frankly I don't care if you think I hate Southerners or whatever. Southerners that defend the Confederacy don't typically get greeting cards from me. I'll say that much. They tend to be obnoxious assholes with their in your face treason apologetics to tell the truth. But that is only a portion of them.

I mentioned the Northeast because their being less favorable to secession in surveys than the South undermines the idea that the South is the most patriotic region. They are also the historical core of the Union cause of course so it should come as no particular surprise that they are more secession averse than the descendants of Johnny Reb that serve as his apologists.

Anyhow, I like a good discussion as much as anybody. It's just that this isn't one of them.

God bless the United States of America.
