Save more money and restore civil liberties by completely ending the drug war.

Still waiting for republicans to hold themselves to their own ideology.

I agree, which is why I don't agree with the welfare state. At the very least you should be subjected to random drug tests if you are going to suckle on the government's teat.

Yes please.

Sorry to hijack your comment here, but I arrived late to the party and noticed nobody pointed out that the Federal Government always posts a surplus in April because it's tax month.

Meaningless fluctuation.

I'm not a finance guy so correct me if I'm wrong however the articles compares the current surplus to last year's surplus which I believe provides a meaningful conext to the fluctuation.

The U.S. government had a $182 billion budget surplus in April, confounding market expectations for a deficit, according to Treasury Department data released on Wednesday. The budget surplus was $106 billion in April 2016, according to Treasury's monthly budget statement.

You cannot 'save' it, as it is debt owed to the Central Bank, remember? That is what happens when a nation forfeits its sovereignty by allowing a private institution called the Federal Reserve to print currency for it, that it borrows at interest....
