I don't think it will shock them out of anything. Hard to imagine any of them will be like "Wait, so here I am being comfortable and having all of my dumb ideas constantly affirmed, and you're offering me discomfort and people telling me I'm wrong? Where can I sign up!?"

Even if you try to sell them on offering enlightenment, they figure they already achieved it and don't need debate for that.

That's a good point. I suppose I think there is more of a backlash coming toward these ways of thinking--or perhaps the adults it produces. I know for example, a friend of mine works in sales and he was telling me how he had to fire a recent-graduate the other day just because they couldn't function in the work environment (at least an environment like sales). His performance was poor but in spite of people trying to help him, he just couldn't accept criticism.

I'd like to believe that but it's hard to see it happening. Most people just seem to be giving up. Comedians won't play colleges. People delete their innocuous tweets and apologize for them. It seems to be happening more and not less. Every once in a while they bump up against someone that calls them on their horseshit or stands their ground but I haven't seen many examples of college babies deciding to do away with that and become college grownups.
