I wonder how long before it will be a crime to avoid facial recognition techniques.

Most people carry around smart phones everywhere they go so it is no secret who is who. The gov already knows all of your contacts and opinions. It is all ready for the next autocrat that comes along to open up the camps.

Same, I think its why (((they))) keep pushing all this stuff; to the point that the public gets sick and institutes Orwellian laws then when it swings back those laws are still in place.

Using masks when protesting something in public sends the wrong message. It sends the message that you're doing something wrong and that you can't stand for your opinions. If you can't protest without a mask, you shouldn't be protesting at all.

You could just not want all the dirt and dust and pepper spray in your face?

Maybe but that is between the speaker and the intended audience. It is not justification for an invasive restriction.

I agree wholeheartedly. Removing the right to wear a mask in public is incredibly invasive. Eliminating that right while expressing political speech is far worse. Destroying any anonymity invites reprisals for opinion just as much as behavior.

So when you protest bailouts or corruption they know who to go after. Of course the police provocateurs have nothing to fear because they will never be charged.

It is actually illegal in my area for people over a certain age to wear a mask that concels the face, period. Not sure if that includes Halloween but it is there on the books. Would just be another charge heaped on.

Wearing a mask to commit a crime speaks toward the premeditation of the act.

Protestors don't wear masks, criminals do. The whole idea of protesting is to show your individual disposition towards a situation. With a mask on you become a masked "other". Instead of Tyrone or Shaniqua you become a faceless rioting annoyance.

Our code doesnt even reference a crime. It is just flatly already illegal.

Will be interesting to see if there is an exception for hijabs. You might need to identify as female to take advantage of the loophole though.
