Meh, Breitbart sucks anyway. They're losing great talent here but I'd rather Breitbart die off anyway. They're no better than the regular MSM, they just align with my views which doesn't excuse their poor quality of journalism.

You summed up my thoughts exactly. I'd dig into Breitbart articles and their sources would be lousy enough I'd have to let it go, then investigate elsewhere to form a solid argument for people. It seems that's the way of the Internet now, I don't really stick to any one source entirely.

The reason I don't even look is because so much of their reporting is simply reporting on the reporting that "the MSM" is doing, without actually adding any new data.

Given their extensive relationship with the POTUS, it's become worse than MSM. It's basically Pravda-style state news.

I'm pretty sure Andrew Breitbart is already dead.

Fuck. He self-sacrificed for the greater good. Godspeed Milo. I'm sure the left won't stop until they destroy all of Breitbart altogether. Next link is Bannon and then (gulp) they get Trump.

BS. We haven't seen the last of Milo.

This is the same as the Flynn non-story that the MSM wanted to spin in to an impeachment or the same non-scandal just before Trump's inauguration.

Shame, fear, lies and projection are the ctrl-left's most common weapons. RINOs and #NeverTrumper dogs are there ready and willing to consort with the enemy.

Either take the blows head on, live to dodge and counter.

It's adapt or die and Milo will adapt.

I don't agree with him, especially on some things involving white identity but we have to pick loyal allies or we fucking die.

Look at it this way, now Milo doesn't have a business to keep him on a leash.

Now he can pretty much say whatever he wants. Given how he was before this should be very interesting if he finds himself an independent outlet.

And since he has quite a big following of his own already he could potentially make a lot more money.

[–] 0x4F 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

True, that's a positive way of looking at it. He can direct the narrative on his own without having to worry about sullying his employer's already controversial reputation.

How bad was his real statement? If they did use sneaky editing tricks, they just handed him a year's worth of Decepticon tour material.

He could demonstrate for his audiences the video the media showed, what they wrote about it, and then the original for comparison. And then go through storiea in other publications to show exactly how bias is being introduced.

He couldn't last at Breitbart forever as most of his "charisma" is the shock that he's a self-hating faggot willing to admit it.

So now that he has been on Maher's show he has enough exposure to tackle new subject matter.

I don't even know what the edits entailed, have to go look.

You're right that they might have shot themselves in the foot pressuring BB to cut him loose. Now that he's on his own and has a platform maybe he can go hogwild on the whole pizza thing? Does he agree that pizzagate is a real thing? Obviously having been a sex-abuse victim himself he knows the predations of the priests... but is he willing to dig deeper and look into the Clintons/Pedostas in Haiti, Maddie McCann, and whatever the hell Soros might be up to with these Syrian kids and the Guatemalan orphans and where they're ending up?

I'm in the minority on this in these threads...I liked Milo and his speeches, but personally I found his stance on this issue to be abhorrent to the point of being done with him.

Here is a fairly long video "defense" someone made of him; I've deep-linked the relevant portion where Milo asserts that, under certain circumstances, it's perfectly fine for adult gay men to have sex with 13-year-old boys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKk1QS-cmas#t=20m

I watched the preceding 20 minutes but after that I was done; I don't really care how he tries to spin it or how various apologists are attempting to defend this.

So I've been a lawyer for the last 10 years. I consider myself to be exceptionally good at reading people. I listened to that interview, and it is undeniable that his choice of words was unacceptable and seemed to condone pedophilia (or what he described as "coming-of-age relationships between adults and children". Looking deeper, on the substance and human side of it, it seems clear to me that this is his coping mechanism - trying to convince himself that something good came of the abuse he suffered as a child. A lot of rape victims have the tendency to try and convince themselves that "it's no big deal, it happens to lots of people", or "something good will come of this horrible experience". That was the impression I got when listening to the interview, and it made me feel very sad. Like that scene from Good Will Hunting.

I think he cleared it up well and shared a similar impression. He's a natural actor and smooth but he addressed the points of concern directly without resorting to double speak. Seems sincere enough.

It is also undeniably a witch hunt. I can respect that he maintains focus on a valid cause. I can't respect so much that he calls it 'entertainment' or a 'career' but those are other arguments and it is what it is.

That, and the "coming of age" reference was to his 10 year relationship with an older man that started at 17.

I largely agree with your analysis. However, I don't care - I expect this is how most/all pedophiles rationalize their objectionable behavior.

He went on record stating that he supports 13 year old boys being raped by adult men - "in certain cases" (and "consensually", as though this were logically possible) - because he himself is okay with having experienced this.

Sorry, but that view doesn't fly with the overwhelming majority of non-gay, non-pedophile citizens.

[–] VivaFrei 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago  (edited ago)

And I totally agree with you if that's actually what he believes. Which is the real concern behind what he said, and why the backlash is not entirely unjustifiable, even by his own admission. [edit] but accusing him of a "pedophile controversy" would require some evidence of him actually engaging in the activity, other than being on the receiving end as a victim.

Msm don't give fuck up children. They covered up for Savile and they are covering up for podesta. They cover up for hollyweirdos. They have been recently writing multiple pro pedo degenerate bullshit. MSM won't fool anyone with their crocodile tears. Im pretty sure Milo is going to be ok. He'll come back better and bigger than before.

Funny how a two year old video surfaces in the MSM lügenpresse right after the entire world called them out on the neo-McCarthyist bullshit they tried on PewDiePie. Almost like they were saving it. I wonder what other dirt they've got in the pipeline to distract the gen pop?

Can you expand on what he said? I watched a couple of related videos, and from those specific clips I took away the following:

1) He said the current consent laws are where they ought to be and that they should be enforced.

2) That he was molested, but for some reason does not label it that way. This does nothing to help current victims, but I understand the guy has to protect his own psyche, and refusing to accept victim status might be his way of moving on.

This is a video that is attempting to exonerate him by providing further context; the first 15-18 minutes consists of him on Joe Rogan's show. However the significant part is at the 20 minute mark, where he explicitly states that a gay adult male having sex with a 13 year old boy is fine as long as it's "consensual" (as though this were possible).
