"Meetup will always welcome people with different beliefs" as long as they're the same beliefs as ours.

Didn't even read any of that. Deleted account, deleted all emails from them. I do not support traitors.

Everyone not part of the anarchist "resist" movement needs to pull together and learn how to play this game. We all need to stop using Twitter, Facebook, Google, Apple, Meetup, etc etc etc, and build and populate our own means of communications and sharing that does not in any way profit the corporations fighting so hard for the anarchist fascists on the extreme left - aka, today's Democratic party.

ditched facebook, google, and apple. Could you suggest alternatives for twitter and meetup?

Gab is the Twitter alternative, but they're being blocked by the Apple App Store - which won't affect you if you aren't using Apple for mobile. But, if you're using Android for mobile, well, there's Google in all your stuff. For meetup, I don't know of one specifically, yet. But even Windows, you know, is Microsoft - the MS in MSNBC. We live in a crazy world where every single one of our primary tech platforms and means of sharing and communicating is controlled by people who hold socialist/marxist views and use those platforms to subtly or overtly promote their views, yet we all just keep raising their valuations by using their platforms. Google is a tricky one - they own youtube, of course, but did you know that even if you don't use youtube, gmail, google+, or google's search engines, every website you visit is passed to google if you use any of the popular browsers? Have you ever clicked on a link and gotten the message, "This site may harm to your computer," or something similar? That's Google's "Safe Browsing" system, and it's integrated into many browsers - meaning, the browser first sends the url of the page you are attempting to view to Google, gets a response from Google's Safe Browsing system as to whether that page is "safe" or not, then, if Google say's it's safe, your browser opens the page. You have to get pretty extreme to keep Google out of your business - which includes, pretty much, not owning a smartphone or browsing the internet in modern browsers on mainstream OS platforms. I don't bother with all that, but I don't tweet or feed Facebook's outrage culture, lol.

gab.ai seems to be the go-to for Twitter clones on Voat these days, but it's still invitation-only. GNU Social is a more mature, decentralized platform that may be worth looking into, but does have the headache of picking a node to create an account on(sealion.club and freezepeach.xyz are popular).

is this a message pushed out by the app developers themselves or just a group posting its progress? I don't agree with them at all but I have no problem with them using Meetup as a platform if they want

I will try to find that out for certain but from the way I am reading it, this is Meetup itself. It doesn't seem to be just a "group". But definitely a good question.

yeah, I got the email and I'm not following any political groups on there. I just deleted my account.

I visited meetup.com the other day and saw a banner for the above message on the homepage. It's endorsed by the site's owners and preferentially advertised to all of its users.

Meetup will no longer be getting my business. They have gone to hell in the last five years anyways.

have you found a solid alternative yet?

No, unfortunately I haven't. People like us keep to ourselves, don't feel the need to "educate" everyone about our beliefs, don't want to impose ourselves on others in general. I have personally found the local conservative newspaper and bulletin boards around my town are the best method to network for hobbies, social gatherings, etc. Sometimes you have to go back to simple solutions. It seems every time a site comes to enough notice, it gets over run by extreme leftists. The site then gets bought up by people with an agenda not of free speech but of buying consumers. It is good for business to have people making decisions based on their "feels". The moderate to right are not as frivolous with our time, privacy or money. It's a case of the chicken and the egg. Do these sites get bought up, then turn left, or turn left and suddenly seem like a money pot.

I deleted mine. Even though I do not use it. There is no reason to allow them to falsely inflate their users.

Got the same email today and deleted my account. Starting to feel like I need to boycott so many companies that I might be turning into some social pariah of sorts. Hard enough to relate to the world as is but not having common points of discussion and reference is making it so much smaller.

The problem is even in a social scenario I have little to add as my politics and lack of pop culture awareness means I tend to stay mute. Being Canadian I have to watch what I say and people tend to not understand why I would shun the institutions that I do. Can't wait for people to start waking up in Canuckistan.

I hate the word, "sustainability," more than the phrase, "social justice."

God damned brainless nigger-faggots just shit out the current trending buzzwords without any thought as to if it's meaning fits their usage.
