PREACHER....!!!

also,

they're total finance cunts.

because futurama's viewership was a few below the 3mil mark for a few episodes, they cancelled.

because their fucking audience watches everything online lol.

but that doesn't factor into their archaic equations.

they just made a math equation and said no more futurama

but still believe it worthy enough IP to hold on to,

they won't sell it - - they won't reboot it - - they won't do shit with it.

I AM AMAZEBALLS that they would consider firefly.

although... yay!

It's Joss Whedon's fault it was canceled in the first place

In what way? The brass didn't understand the show and it didn't have huge ratings. Joss has his head firmly up his ass in many ways, but I don't think you can blame him for not winning the battle to keep Firefly alive.

If Joss Wedon would still be behind it, I don't care.

Joss outed himself as a major SJW. I don't know if he's always been like that, or if he changed, but I highly doubt a new Firefly would be the same. I'd imagine a majorly diverse cast, no Baldwin boy, etc. Probably complete with "not-Trump" evil villain with diverse cast consisting of no white males fighting the evil white male "not-Trump' villain.

Firefly was over-hyped anyways. It wasn't bad, but seeing wild west guns make laser sounds was awkward as fuck.

He's changed. The original Firefly was very anarcho-libertarian in plot. Buffy was also fairly good until the last couple seasons. When Buffy partners up with the government in season 6 it goes downhill rather fast.

Dollhouse is another of his good shows that got cancelled early on.

When Firefly came up, Madden surprisingly said they were open to reviving the show, under one condition: Whedon has to be up for doing it.

He would be, and the reason that Firefly isn't going to be revived is because Whedon refuses to work with Fox anymore. The issue isn't Fox, nor is it Whedon, but it is the combination thereof that makes Firefly dead, forever.

When the Firefly documentary came out, Whedon stated that once a show he makes hits the big screen, he doesn't like to look back. I can understand him going back to it for the money, but I doubt he's hurting on that right now. I hope he sticks to what he said about it staying off the TV, because we're missing some important cast members (RIP Ron Glass)

"Revival" = Destroy all good Firefly memories for diversity feels.

The show was pretty diverse anyway.

2 black people 2 asianish people 4 women to 5 men

For the main cast anyway.

All the rest of the people in the 'verse were chinks and crackers.

And it actually worked because nobody focused on that shit and tried to teach lessons based on it, it just existed. Now he would just go full retard with it and fuck it up.

Two asianish? It was two blacks and the rest were of European ancestry.

35 but could still pass for early 20s

Likely they would recast everyone though since Ron Glass (Shepard book) is dead. And of course Wash is a leaf on the wind now.

Never thought I'd say this, but I think Firefly is better off dead and with the fond memories we have of it. My heart aches because this was one of the best shows ever. In like half a season they had more great episodes than most series have in 7 full years.

Joss Whedon is capable of being one of the most brilliant storytellers, but he unfortunately went off the SJW deepend. If he brought back Firefly today, no doubt he'd change a lot of stuff to make it even more politically correct. He'd probably add a black tranny crewmember just for the sake of being politically correct. Maybe he'd introduce a villain to represent Trump. It would be completely insufferable unless he was willing to put aside his ego, which I don't think he wants to do anymore.

Funnily enough, nothing is ever enough for SJWs and they think Whedon is scum and he keeps coming back with his tail even more between his legs virtue signaling even harder. He's really talented as an artist, but pathetic as a man.

Sad but true. His shenanigans and unbelievably lame celebrity "do what we tell you" vids during the election sickened me to the point where I will definitely avoid any of his future work.

If I ever rewatch his excellent older stuff I'll have to put his asinine political posturing out of my mind.

Yeah, its probably for the best.

It would be like a studio picking up Cowboy BeBop, and turning it into the SJW Crew solving offenses against imagined marginalized groups. Totally gut the entire premise of being bounty-hunting "cowboys" and just promote whatever libtard agenda is flowing through the cloaca of Hollywood at the moment.

I don't trust anyone to make something as cool as Firefly ever again, but they will try to repackage it and sell it to you in desperation for revenue.

Just what we need.. a show that tries to convince us that the Reavers are peace-loving and totally not murderous terrorists.

I've already tossed my Joss Whedon stuff due to politics. If I'm serious about the stances I take on issues, it behooves me to be consistent and vote with my wallet and attention, or else I'm just another jack-off with no self-control.

Yep. There are so many Hollywood fuckwads and virtue-signaling companies to boycott though, it's putting a serious crimp in my day-to-day. Google, Amazon, Netflix, Target, Joss Whedon and all the entertainers he employed in his activist video bullshit during the campaign, basically all of the "mainstream media propaganda".

The funny thing about that is if you look closely at the birth dates on the documents and computer screens there are hints that they are a lot older than they look but people age differently in the future.

Mal, not Mel. Short for Malcolm, but it also is French for bad (from Latin malus).
