For me, that is the telling aspect of the situation--there really are no checks left within the system...fill out the paperwork and get 'X' approved. I really liked the description of Velamoor, too. The system, particularly one that rewards with power, is designed to create the loss of the individual. I think this what creates the psychology for the rubber stamp environment ("we play for the same team") and it allows outsiders, no matter how minimal the offense, to become targeted with fervor ("these people said mean things on the internet").

Exactly. I mean, whose to say that someone working for Hillary Clinton's campaign didn't get me shadow banned from Reddit for speaking the truth about her or other things that go against the liberal agenda?
