It's a real problem, in many countries.

The mainstream political parties have declared that expressing any reservations at all about mass third-world immigration is "crazy" and "racist".

Therefore the only way that a sensible person with reservations can express them is to make common cause with the people who really are crazy and racist. And that's not real good for anyone.

Yep, the FN in France which has been traditionally anti-gay and anti-Jew has been increasing its Jewish vote share and has the largest rainbow vote share of any party. That's because they know that Muslims are the greatest threat to them, and there's nobody else willing to stand up to them.

This is spot on.

Fortunately, the Left has overplayed the threat of being called a racist. My understanding is that the term is basically meaningless in Europe already and the US is maybe 5 years behind. Hopefully, that will allow calm, rational and sane discussions.

If calm, sane and rational discussions on race, culture and immigration don't start soon, I don't expect that the anti-immigrant movements will get smaller or more restrained.
