Now there is a provocative headline.
I don't agree with what they did, but the headline makes it seems far more worse. Exaggerated News.

What should it say? "Russia copies Islam and lets you beat your wife."

Russia's parliament voted 380-3 on Friday to decriminalize domestic violence in cases where it does not cause "substantial bodily harm" and does not occur more than once a year.
Yeah, basically, the vodka fueled slanging match of the year that escalated into a slap in the face doesn't become a court case at every turn
And yes the title is deceptive, since it makes it sound like you get a free pass at beating the shit out of your wife with a sledge hammer

It should say: Russian Parliament votes to decriminalize domestic violence in certain situations.
That at least, would be factual.

'Even Russian police are often reluctant to get involved in domestic violence cases, which many regard as meddling in family affairs. '
'Critics of the new measure warned it would encourage domestic violence and fuel crime.“This bill would establish violence as a norm of conduct,” Communist lawmaker Yuri Sinelshchikov said during the debate. '
