Here's a hint, iodine deficiency causes cretinism.

The autism that is associated with vaccines is due to doctors ignoring iodine deficiency in population, 98% of Americans are iodine deficient, while iodine is a necessary element in the human body which also is basis for immune system as its antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal. Iodine deficiency also causes cretinism/autism/senility!

Just a reminder for the tards amongst us, even if vaccines cause autism, and even though they can cause injury and death (especially for the immune system compromised), THEY STILL DO FAR MORE GOOD THAN HARM.

I REPEAT, EVEN IF EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF YOUR CRACKPOT THEORIES IS CORRECT, VACCINES DO MORE GOOD THAN HARM.

There's no reason it has to be a with-us-or-against-us discussion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the vaccine and the way it's made into something that can be given are two different things. The underlying vaccine may be safe enough to be given to most people, but the particular way of packaging it for injection might not be. Critique of the latter could prompt finding other methods of delivery of the same vaccine.

Casting any dissent as anti-science is itself anti-science, and destructive to progress.

They in fact do offer other packagings of vaccines. They do such for the elderly and immune compromised people.

If vaccines cause harm but also do good, shouldn't we be free to decide if we want to risk being harmed? Shouldn't we try to improve the vaccines? Why is the only option: everyone must submit to vaccines from profit-driven private corporations?

Assuming there is a causal link to vaccines, what you're really saying is they do far more good than harm FOR MOST PEOPLE. For the person that gets autism and that person's family they do more harm than good.

ATTENTION MORON CONVENTION:

OP, the article you link to is the most poorly written piece of drivel I have ever read. To take a life or death topic such as VACCINATIONS and present this as your evidence is ridiculous.

You are going to trust the safety of your children and grandchildren (never mind you are probably 19 years old, and think you know everything) based on what you read in that article. You cannot be serious. To trust people who could give a crap about your health and well being based on that 8 year old level pathetic research?

Here is just some the truth, it is way worse than you could ever imagine (obviously) :

https://www.sott.net/article/284520-CDC-whistleblower-exposes-massive-lies-about-MMR-vaccine-safety

What is the motivation behind the CDC's ongoing refusal to disclose the truth behind MMR and autism? According to Dr. David Lewis, Ph.D., a former senior-level microbiologist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Research and Development, government agencies routinely skew scientific data in order to save face and perpetuate the illusion of relevance.

"Working for the government is no different than working for corporations," said Dr. Lewis. "You either toe the line or find yourself looking for another way to make a living."

"No one would be surprised if Merck published unreliable data supporting the safety of its products. Why would anyone be surprised that the CDC is publishing skewed data to conclude that the vaccines it recommends are safe? We need a better system, where scientists are free to be honest."

Boyle, who co-authored the CDC study claiming that MMR is safe, isn't the only liar involved, of course. Dr. Frank DeStefano, M.D., M.P.H., Director of the CDC's Immunization Safety Office, the branch that actively promotes vaccines, and Dr. Marshalyn Yeargin-Allsopp, M.D., Medical Epidemiologist and Chief of the Developmental Disabilities Branch of the CDC, are also complicit in claiming that science has vetted the MMR vaccine and determined it to be safe with no risk of autism.

No, he's saying that humans are humans. Part of the insanity in dealing with this issue is that mentally retarded people keep insisting that scientists are somehow a superior breed of people and therefore immune to the vices and weaknesses of what it means to be human. That's really the bottom line. To believe scientists are any more immune to humanity's weaknesses, or even basic economics and desire for employment is to declare one's self to be mentally impaired. Yet this is entirely representative of most every politicized scientific discussion. Be it vaccines or climate change.

Simple fact is, 60% of scientific papers can not be reproduced. If the papers originate from China, the numbers are around 80%. No doubt about it, the scientific community is horribly broken and they are spitting out a ton of junk science which has become accepted as mainstream.

As for topical commentary here. The CDC and FDA has officially acknowledged that vaccines cause autism. Period. You can find the videos of officials making these statements during the 80s. 60 minutes even provided a segment back in the day. It's a scientific fact. Period. Anyone who says otherwise is mentally ill, dishonest, ignorant, or delusional. Period. THAT'S OFFICIALLY WHAT NON-POLITICIZED SCIENCE HAS TO SAY ON THE SUBJECT.

What does this mean? Does this mean everyone will get autism? NO! This is the discussion which we are forbidden from having because it likely means damage to the bottom line of big pharma. It's all about risk vs reward. But big pharma has decided it's about money, regardless of the risks. That's the real problem. That's the discussion we are not allowed to have.

What science very clearly says is that a small percentage of the population, largely because of genetic predisposition, will have negative effects from any given specific vaccine. This is why the vaccine fund exists and why it has steadily paid out over the years. It's not up for debate. It's a fact. Based on the known data, it strongly implies it's not paying out to all legitimate claims simply because doing so would invalidate many of big pharma's claims of ubiquitous safety. Which in turn would damage their bottom lines.

The question becomes, is something like a flu vaccine useful. The science very clearly says absolutely not. Since there exists a small risk, it's idiotic to use it. The risk vs reward is entirely absent. But we can't have this discussion because politicized science. Is something like a polio vaccine useful. The science very clearly says absolutely! The risk vs reward easily justifies such a vaccine. The down side of not having the vaccine is huge. The down side of having it is, in comparison, very, very tiny.

This is the problem with discussion of this topic. Brainwashed people will rush to down vote my post. "Crazy" people will up vote my post. The simple fact is, the FDA is not doing their job. And the CDC and FDA are complicit in denying us a legitimate voice is evaluating risk vs reward as a national policy. Anyone who refuses to allow parents to weigh risk vs reward, at a government level, is certainly not interested in the well being of the governed population.

Because you can't develop autism after birth, it's caused by genetics/environmental factors in the womb.

I don't think that's true.

[–] speakoutforamerica 1 points 4 points (+5|-1) ago  (edited ago)

Before reading understand I pose these questions to play devil's advocate and to promote better debating/logical conversations:

If vaccines cause autism, then why do people who are vaccinated later in life not develop it too? They don't. Because you can't develop autism after birth, it's caused by genetics/environmental factors in the womb.

In one case the brain is still developing so this doesn't seem as apples to apples as you are making it.

And whilst no, whilst these people do not care about your health individually, they do care about the populations health in general. Unhealthy workforce = unhealthy economy.

Exactly, you can tell by the CIA operations and scores of other now unclassified government operations that they have pretty consistently operated in a "the ends justify the means" sort of way. Once again this doesn't seem to be an actual logical point as to why there would be silence around if some sort of vaccine + autism link has been discovered. One could assume they would hold back the information because it would still be in the best interest of society.

For example lets imagine this scenario is real for a second and the government has two choices

Scenario: Vaccines are discovered to cause a small percent of the population, say .05%, to develop Autism. (We will completely ignore the big pharma/drug industries incentives/motivations/desires in all of this).

Choice A) Government acts on the information informs the public and now 1% of children on average will die of a preventable disease due to parents opting out of vaccinating their child. (Humans always weigh risk MUCH heavier than gain)

Choice B) Government withholds the information, saving the suffering of 1% of children on average but accepts that .05% may develop Autism as they research ways to get around what is causing that side effect.

Which do you think they would choose?

Now from a realists stand point I would have to say that if you believe the above scenario AND that the government chose option B I still don't see PERSONALLY why you would withhold vaccines from your child. If you multiplied the odds they could be autistic (last I saw it was 1/68 and rising) and multiplied that by whatever small chance that A) Vaccines can cause autism + B) the government chose option B and not one scientist has leaked it to the public you would end up making the decision based off of something with a 1/1000000+ chance of happening. And this coming from someone with autistic family members. (Very rough figures for illustration purposes)

Adults have a considerably greater body mass and, in most cases a fully developed neurological system (the jury's still out on the OP/commenters here). See any pharmaceutical dosing schedule ever made comparing adult and pediatric dosing. Hell, read the back of your ibuprofen bottle. Much easier to sabotage a structure when it's being built than after it's complete. Ask any engineer/architect/house builder ever.

Many causative factors aren't 100%. Skydiving isn't 100% fatal, but it's also not 0% fatal. When dealing with something not at the extremes, a single instance can't be predicted with perfect accuracy, nor can it represent the overall rate. If you have a loaded die, a single roll won't tell you whether it's loaded, but hundreds of throws will.

Obviously you are gullible, what do you know about the autism/vaccine connection?

Autism is due to iodine deficiency, iodine is the basis for a strong human immune system, most Americans (98%) are iodine deficient, when the medical industry ignores iodine deficiency (iodine can't be patented, not a big money maker) and substitute patentable vaccines to support our weak iodine deficient immune systems, mental disorders evolve amongst other iodine deficiency related diseases!

Parents have already been paid for vaccine related deaths and injuries. The govt has a vaccine court set up that they keep hush hush to deal with such things. There is significant evidence connecting vaccines to autism but I haven't seen anything conclusive yet. However there are many other conclusively linked injuries.

Vaccines and global warming - modern day religious cults that don't allow debate or the presentation of contrary scientific evidence.

"The Academies have no research laboratories. Study committees generally evaluate and compile research done by others rather than generating original data."

"The four institutions that comprise the National Academies are private, non-governmental organizations, and we do not receive direct federal appropriations for our work. Many of our studies are funded by government agencies, but we also receive funding from private foundations."

"About 85 percent of funding comes from the federal government through contracts and grants from agencies and 15 percent from state governments, private foundations, industrial organizations, and funds provided by the Academies member organizations."

The CDC admits vaccines cause damage..

https://www.google.com/search?q=mmr+vaccine+brain+damage

https://www.google.com/search?q=dtap+vaccine+autism

Notice that the MMR doesn't say "autism" anymore.. They decided on "brain damage" because it was getting noticed too much..

btw.. I'm noticing more and more reddit-tards coming here trying to control the narrative and "correct" the record.. at least, for now, we can have a voice here on Voat without being monkey-hammered into oblivion.

Vaccines are nothing more than liquid lobotomies straight out of the Brave New World strategy.

There is no evidence that vaccines do anything but harm. Their "facts" and "science" are just marketing BS!

There are inevitably odd reaction to vaccines, though they are extremely rare to the point of being unaccountable before deployment, these oddities and rare allergic reactions as well as the, extremely, rare case of disease contraction are why these courts exist. They don't exist to hide anything. They exist as a path of recourse for those that are adversely effected.

As well debate gravity. There is not contradictory evidence that follows anything close to a scientific method.
