Glad.
I have always thought that you should learn the language of the country you visit.
That is why when an USA citizen comes to my country I only speak to them in spanish, have some fucking courtesy for the place you are at and don't be an ignorant.
I agree with the main sentiment, but if somebody was struggling here and at least attempting to learn I wouldn't intentionally leave them in the dark. It's impossible to become fluent in a language before every time you visit a new country.

I speak American wherever I go. It's the default international language.
