When I was in primary school, my school didn't even have a cafeteria, let alone lunches provided by the school. We brought our own lunches and ate in the gym, though we were provided with microwaves. All these children are losing is an option for lunch.

They're not even losing their lunch, they're losing one or maybe two items out of that lunch. They can still eat the spuds, jello, bread, veggies, whatever.

Yep we all had a lunchbox with our own shit in it. We would barter a bit because mums always made the same shit for us every day, but we had plenty of energy and mum had money for stuff.

There's also a distinction to made between 'can't eat' and 'wont' eat' not being equivalent.
