Also there is SSRIs connections to suicidal ideation and links to increasing the risks of suicide. Some of these have been given a black box label.

yes, i remember reading about a trial study for a new anti-depressant for kids a long time ago - apparently several kids tried killing themselves during the trial period and apparently a few succeed

supposedly that drug is on the market and i don't recall which is it, but i believe it was a very popular one

Yeah don't give your kids anti-depressants and be careful with vaccines as some are definitely linked to autism.

I've talked to a researcher about it before. He explained it to me in a way that makes sense but I'm not smart enough to explain it myself. It has something to do with the fact that you are not allowed to participate in a drug study if you are suicidal. Invariably some people in a depressed population become suicidal and when they do it is noted in the study in a way that people who don't understand how drug studies work or who willfully misrepresent how they work hyperbolize and pass laws or regulations to require those labels.

Yeah not exactly. They just slap a label on to appease the people after a bunch of them are killed and continue on with business as usual.

understanding the science is a lot easier once you understand that the 'science' is too often manipulated by greed

want funding to prove that global warming is caused by human produced pollution? great - you'll get the grant because your work might help support political agendas

want funding to prove that global warming is not caused by human produced pollution? not only will you not get funded, but you'd potentially be putting your career on the line

that's 'science' in the 20th century - and i don't mean to demonize scientific study en masse, but the fact is that this kind of corruption is far too prevalent
