Urban planning is not something you learn by playing Sim City or Cities Skyline. It requires an higher education.

I wish fluency in Sim City was a requirement to anyone running for city council or any position which would involve making decision about urban planning. It would be a huge improvement over the current situation.

Do you live in Rome or what? When you are at it why not make mandatory IQ tests for politicians, that would certainly solve plenty of problems right away.

Says who? The same people that pushed the "knowledge based economy"? how did that work out?
The ivy league and the university system pushed "everyone needs higher education!!" because they made fuck loads of money off of it. Never mind that until recently, only 1% of the population ever went to college. the reason why we have such a low graduation rate, is because only a handful of people should go to school.
Frankly, Washington should not be planning and designing cities. That IS the job of the cities. What resources do they have? what do they need? who wants to work with them? These are city questions, not federal ones.

If it were not for the federal government I doubt you would have an interstate highway system or even a standard imperial inch/gallon for that matter. If it were up to the states you wouldn't have a standard size of roads, pipes or even windows.

No amount of PhD can fix shit taste, ideological blindness, or crookedness.
Not saying carson is suffering any of those.
But there's definitely something fishy with the pyramids.

Your view on certain topics seems quite absurd. A PHD is not a measure of intelligence nor ones ability to solve a certain problem. Just by listening to Carson talking makes me seriously question his intelligence and further more you seem to assume he has a couple of years to learn the job before he starts. He is supposed to start work immediately. I don't understand how so many of you can be so naive to think the government is some kind of slack chill five hour a day job.

Have you played Cities Skylines with mods? That shit is whack.
There's no "pavement ape" mod though.
