One of the points that the article makes is that Houston has similar economic and ethnic statistics, yet has significantly less violent crime, and has less restrictive gun laws.

If the gun-control advocates are to be believed, then the extensive presence of guns in Houston that are legally and illegally owned should mean that violent crime statistics should be much higher rather than much lower. While gang activity is not quite as significant in Houston as it is in Chicago, it is still quite significant.

It's a good point and likely correct. Long ago I just started ignoring the liberals with their attempts to make various claims about guns, they have no clue and just lie as they think the means justify the ends. I will forever vote against them on that one issue alone.

Chicago is a mess and yes, very clearly gun control didn't help one bit. What a liberal would say is but but but Houston is super different it doesn't have the gang problem and there are less Walmarts per population or some other nonsense to deflect it. They don't care about reasoned argument or looking in to deeper causes only how they can twist things to ban guns.Additionally the deeper causes, at least in Chicago are all their fault.
