Actually, the Chinese bought most of the mineral rights.

But the longest US war is their silly ongoing rebellion against the queen.

Did Congress ever actually declare that war??

Did congress ever actually declare war with Afghan either?

Nope. Just a very general "Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists" Korea was just a "policing action" as well.

Point being, if Afghan is a war, so is the Korean conflict. We still have ground pounders in S. Korea.

Because if we're still there, then we haven't lost yet.

Longest war? Vietnam. First Indochina War 1946 to 1954. Then the Vietnam war from 1954 to 1975. Sorry but that is one Long Ass time to be at war.

46 to 54 is nine years, and American involvement in Vietnam was only 14 years

Not for those in Vietnam. 29 years is a lifetime for many dealing with that crap.
