The German leader has been under pressure at home over her liberal refugee policy that saw an influx of nearly one million migrants last year
Liberal Refugee Policy? Merkel has been entirely ILLIBERAL in her policy, not liberal at all. That is the core problem.
What does "LIBERAL" mean in a democratic political process? It means GETTING A VOTE. Merkel never allowed her German countrymen to have a say over her entirely reckless policy.
This ILLIBERAL action of Merkel to deny the democratic right of a free people to decide the future of their own country is a CRIME.
Merkel and her cronies will ultimately face TREASON trials over this. I have absolutely no doubt about that. And by the time that happens, there will be so many dead Germans at the hands of Jihadists that no one will even blink when the death penalty is reinstated and Merkel et al. swing from the gallows.
Tyranny like that which Merkel has undertaken deserves nothing less.
Merkel and her kind aren't the type to allow individual liberties when it would go against her wishes.
Shes one of many autocratic morons like to delegitimize their opponents first with name calling then with legalized removal of freedoms from "bad" people until the only people left with a voice are parroting her words or too scared to openly act against it. If it weren't for Brexit I'd say that within 5 to 10 years we would see massive efforts taking place all around Europe to remove as much national sovereignty from EU nations as possible and detach an individual vote as much as possible from effecting the rule of mad ideologues like Merkel, hell after Brexit I wouldn't be surprised if some people went out of their way to punish Britain as much economically possible even if it causes hardship for other EU nations just to prove that the British would have been "better" off taking it from behind with a smile than having having their own sovereignty.
The unsurprising yet uplifting news, though, is that there is no sign that BREXIT had any negative effect on Britain and it is, ironically, the French who are now experiencing job losses and Germany that looks to be teetering on verge of a financial melt down ala 2008.
