She's going to have some competition from Obama and Clinton.

This.

She was always going to be the scapegoat. Now the time has come for her inevitable throwing under the bus.

It's interesting this comes from Donald Tusk, he was afterall given the EU position for being Merkel's loyal pet. Before that he was our Polish PM, known for doing the exact minimum required to get by. Personally very ambitious but completely uninterested in leading a nation once in power. The fact that he has chosen to attack his patron means he feels a strong changing wind. Or alternatively he is trying to score some points with the new Polish government as he knows that years of crime, corruption and scandals are about to be unearthed.

Merkel and Tusk are both equally guilty. But now the finger pointing begins.

The EU officials are just as much, maybe even more to blame. Merkel just said Germany will arrange help for all refugees, in a similar fashion as Sweden and Netherlands. This in it self is not too problematic. Someone runs away from war and terror and asks for asylum in a safe country, no biggie.

The big problem here is that there is a refugee crisis, and the EU officials are not dealing with it. We have agreements within Europe, like free travel without borders between EU countries (Shengen), and when a refugee arrives in a safe country it can ask for asylum (Dublin). However, the huge amount of refugees has basically killed these two EU agreements. Now refugees, scum, and terrorists, are pouring in to Europe, and roaming through Europe, asking asylum where they want, without anyone having any clue who they are, where they are from, what their intentions are.

And because the EU has been so reluctant to act, some countries have taken it in to their own hand. Sweden is in trouble and wants help, Denmark says "fuck you Sweden, you made your bed now lie in it". Rich EU countries get in trouble, Hungary closes borders, Polen refuses to take in any refugees.

So this EU chief can blame Angela for whatever, it's just as much their fault. The only way to go is less EU and more sovereignity for the nations.
