I'm fairly sure it was meant to be disrespectful, kind of demanding others first respect him because of his completely beyond his own control skin color before he will show any respect to anyone or anything else.

I especially love the irony of these multi-million dollar athletes whining about economic disparity. There's an easy fix for that guys- starts with opening up your wallet!

Well they might have contracts worth millions, sponsorships worth millions but most sports stars never really keep much of the wealth that they "earn" to begin with because they are too stupid to use their money wisely and borrow against their earnings without any concern for things like interest rates (Shaq is the only sports star I know of that made more money after his sports career peaked because of careful investments).

I can well believe that poverty stricken black communities in the U.S. need a helping hand to fix some of their problems if there was careful investment made into the area but that investment isn't going to come from twats that go out of their way to disrespect the nation, and the people that made them "rich" to begin with.
