First of all I would re-word that to Black-American makes more sense, that and I think this method of thinking really focuses with all modern groups of people who are poor, I don't think it is limited to black-Americans.The same is true with poor Hispanics, poor Russians, poor Brits. If anything it follows poor people in the modern world. My theory is that poor people in the second and third world don't tend to try and appear wealthy because they have fewer influences such as popular culture, the internet, modern-rap music, etc. While a poor people in the modern world have these influences, combine that with bad parenting/lack-there-of and you end up with people who do what they can to get rich (or appear rich) without giving a fuck about how they get there.

Spot on. It's definitely not just a black thing. But it most definitely is the most obvious when it comes to Black America. This is why their own areas are such shit. There is very much a "fuck you, it's all about ME" problem with these people. I think the reason you notice it with Black America so easily is how "loud" they are. I'm not speaking just by the obvious sense of the word (although, my God, never have their been a louder group of humans put on the earth) but also their need to have loud chains, loud cars, loud music, loud opinions, loud EVERYTHING. And it really is quite a shame. Cause a huge part of Black America is quite valuable and has A LOT to offer. But unfortunately they are drowned out by their counterparts.
