Perhaps it's just the Tennessean in me, but I don't really see the harm in incest amongst consenting adults.

Exactly. Yes there is the risk of birth defects in kids that are born to immediate relatives, but that usually doesn't occur until you have several generations of inbreeding.

Also Tennessean here. I agree, this case looks fine, she didn't raise her. But that law should still be around to prevent abuse by a person of power (parent). The article says she also married one of her sons but that was annulled 2 years later.

It's not like they are able to reproduce together. Probably should have just stayed out of the limelight by not getting married.
