Now Muslim women have the "freedom" to live inside an Islamic hiding sack or be beaten by their husbands.

Feminists rejoice!

The ban was stupid to begin with. It doesn't increase security and burkinis don't even cover the face. There is no reason to ban them except for "We need to ban everything that's different!". I have no problem with owners of private swimming pools banning it, but the state doesn't need to interfere.

I don't mind banning burkas in places where it's important to see the face (well, that's almost everywhere), but banning burkinis is just the kind of "politics" we should get rid off.

We should just ban Muslims.

Can you present a compelling reason why creeping sharia and Islam should be tolerated in the civilized world?

What's so good about bashing and raping women and raping children and murdering non-Muslims?

Wearing a burkini != bashing and raping women and raping children and murdering non-Muslims

Is freedom so hard of a concept to grasp? You're behaving exactly like the moral police in those shitholes and don't even realize it.

Can you present a compelling argument that creeping sharia exists and is represented by the Muslim dress code?

And what's wrong with trying to integrate the most violent part of a population

Allowing the burkini promotes segregation not integration.

I believe the ban is more about money than anything else. France has lost about 750m euros in tourism since the beginning of the year, and now all the cities with beaches (tourism) start banning clothing citing secularism and beach brawls.

France is one of the top tourism spots in the world. People world-wide are obviously concerned with France's safety and it's changing their behavior. Banning clothing seems silly (and ultimately is), but it underpins the desperation of the country.

Good. Banning Freedom of Dress is retarded. They should just stop allowing such unmitigated immigration from countries full of violent extremists.

I still can't grasp the reason this was their response to terrorist attacks at all. The only logic I've been able to piece together is that France's tourism industry may be threatened, so by banning burkinis on the beach, tourists might feel more at ease? Even that isn't very compelling.

It didn't make any sense. What if a ginger wants to cover up at the beach?

Sunscreen. Or any of the secular getups that have been designed over the years to cover the body.

It makes me sick when I see interviews with Muslim women saying they want to dress like this.

No honey, you've been brainwashed since birth...

They should flip the debate: Pass a law requiring ALL beaches to be nude beaches. No clothing allowed. Not even religious clothing.
