At least in the US, that will soon be illegal.
“[we're] gonna open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money.”
So if someone thinks you're libelous when you criticize immigration or otherwise criticize the government, you can be arrested. This is already the case in the UK, Germany, and Sweden, where it's a crime to be offensive.

The public also has the right to look at the "Alternative press" and bypass this kind of asshat.
