Is it against the law to carry an axe or a hammer in Germany? 'Cause if it is, that law needs to be repealed. Germans need some form of self defense.

If Germans started carrying hammers and axes, that would have been an epic fight.

Yes, but there should be a waiting period to buy an axe. Such a waiting period would certainly have prevented this senseless act of workplace violence from ever having happened.

the reason this kind of stuff doesn't happen more often is because people who carry melee weapons get them confiscated and they get thrown in jail. (or get a fine, depending on the situation)

imagine if a crazy muslim terrorist could say "it's for self defence" "darnit, we know he's gonna do something, but we can't confiscate his weapon!"
