Very wise words. We are all individuals.

More like PC pabulum to try and appease the current manufactured media nonsense over this judge. I can think of many ways in which I'd judge someone based on their color or sex or age or whatever. If I want to have a face to face discussion about Trump, for example, and want a pro-Trump perspective from a stranger am I likelier to get one from an elderly white male or a black female college student?

This is basically just Trump being politically correct to try and appease his critics. This kind of concession rarely works and he's been successful so far by refusing to back down in these controversies. He's still refusing to back down specifically on the Curiel comments but this statement here is not the usual strong Trump we're used to.

Yeah, I do worry a lot of people are going to take this as capitulation. "Mexican" is not even a race.

One can be doubtful or suspicious about someone for certain characteristics without judging them. "Judge," 'judgment," "judging" all have multiple senses in their definitions, so it can become quite semantical.

In this sense I take "judging" to mean a condemnation without any or much doubt, which I think foolish to do just based off of race, color, or ethnicity.
