It's strikingly obvious that Trump was accusing Judge Curiel of being racist toward HIM due to being of Mexican background. It seems all of the cucks in the GOP, instead of recognizing this, piled on with the shitlib media and have Trump 'recalibrating' (read buckling) some.
There was nothing wrong with Trump's criticism of the judge.

It seems "criticism" of government gets you in the hot seat. Lying and coverups get you free passes!
Strange world we live in!

Not just free passes.
Also, the democratic presidential nomination.

To be fair, Trump could have been much clearer in attacking the judge based on his relationship with La Raza or his stance on illegals. His criticism, while valid, could have been packaged better for the morons.
Fact is, this judge doesn't see himself as 'american'. He see's himself as Mexican, then hispanic, then maybe somewhere down the line, American. I feel this is what Trump was pointing out. At least, to me, that was hit-you-over-the-head clear-as-fucking-day about his comment.

According to Scott Adams, this is by design. It moves the discussion beyond "is he a member of La Raza" which we now accept, and then the argument is about whether it's racist. Which the media will argue on and on, but anyone who actually looks at what was said will likely disagree with that. And that adds to the list of "media lies" he can use. Since it's easier on the internet to go and see when the media lies, you now have a percentage of people who will go and look, and some that won't bother and will happily accept what they're told on TV. The ones that won't bother, well they were probably against Trump, and they were going to vote against him or not at all. The ones that will - even if they don't necessarily like what he said - can still see the media manipulations and that still works to his favor.

"Fact is, this judge doesn't see himself as 'american" really? Do you know this judge? Trump has a right to criticize the judge based on his (the judge) behavior but not on his heritage. Also, why, as a political candidate, did he air his personal problems when he should have been expressing his policies or attacking Hillary? The guy's ego surpasses everything including good sense.
