Circumcision, while I do lean towards leave it up to the person when they're grown, doesn't leave the male incapable of sex (without extreme pain) in the majority of cases.

It's done in infancy as a set it and forget it act; it is my understanding that female "circumcision" results in a lifetime of pain in more cases than not.

Sure, there may be complications for males infrequently, but there is a real and comparable difference between the two.

Also smegma...yuck.

First of all, women have more smegma than men. Second of all, you are not distinguishing between the different types of female circumcision. Third of all, most female circumcision doesn't result in a lifetime of pain and doesn't leave women incapable of having sex without pain. Not that I'm defending cutting up the genitals of little girls but the two practices are done: On the same people By the same people On the same parts of the body For the same reasons With similar effects In similar areas of the world(mostly) And have a whole host of other similarities.

I'm mostly familiar with the African version. Not sure I want it in my Google history, but I suppose I'll have to look into the subtypes now.

What's a good dmarc?
