Is it just me or are tailored services always utter shit. If I search for a band once or twice I wouldn't want to automatically subscribe to that bands subreddit or even give a shit to see submissions about that band in a generalized subreddit. I have never seen tailoring everything to the user instead of allowing the user to pick and choose what he/she wants done well, I'd really doubt reddit can pull it off unless they are actively trying to become digg.

Do you ever see things you mention in conversation that pop up on facebook or google as an auto-fill or advert? Facebook and Google use your phone to create those targeted items and Reddit wants to do the same shit.

I have Facebook scraped clean and its cookies blocked, I have Googles privacy settings maxed out with most of its cookies also blocked. If I see something targeted towards me alarm bells start going off because I take my privacy very seriously.
That said I know exactly what you mean, I said something to that effect in the above comment.
