That doesn't mean that it presents anything new. As I stated, it's just a re-formatting of that Reddit post.

I would argue it adds relevant information pertaining to current events.

What information does it add? The first three paragraphs are just praise for the post and the entire rest of the article is a literal copy-and-paste of the post's content.

I'd say that instead of "adding" relevant information, It presents already stated information in a new format that's easier to read (made another comment below). That being said, I had not seen this post and would not have known about it otherwise due to me not going on the subreddits dedicated to this sort of thing.
But, if you do go to the original post and read through the comments, there are some pretty good informational ones that, while not presenting "new" information, are nice to see all in one spot. Had it not been for the article, and while I knew about some of these things, I haven't seen it all compiled into such an easily readable way that really sheds some light on the situation.
