So the public has stepped in to take care of the issue the state should be taking care of?

Sounds like the people of Germany are getting fed up with the lack of action and they taking issues into their own hands. Good.

Basically yes. After the New York Eve events in Cologne, several militias and neighbourhood watches have formed despite the politicians decrying them as neo-nazi thugs holding cowboy courts.

So far most have simply been slacktivist Facebook groups and passive watch/patrol groups. This is the first time I know of one of these groups has actually taken action and physically prevented a crime as it was happening.

Expect the DA to throw charges of hate crime, excessive self-defence, racial discrimination and everything else he can think of at them until one of them sticks. It would set a bad example if someone would show the people that they can uncucken themselves and don't need Her Merkelstys Benevolent Big State to protect them.

It's kind of sad because Germany is a beautiful country. A conflict between two strongly opinionated cultures, the Germans who want to keep things as is and the Refugees/Hidden Malitia who are looking to occupy and convert, might destroy Germany...

That is the first time I noticed the term "cowboy courts". As someone from the states, I approve this quiloqualism in spite of its negative connotation.
