This is driven by elements that wish to control free speech online for whichever multitude of reasons.

And this, we cannot allow. Remember ladies and gents... a right isn't a right if you can't defend it.

And here I thought women could do anything men could do but at least according to these people women are incapable of interacting on the internet without having a break down.

The internet has always been full of people being assholes to other people, it is not gender or sexual preference, people are assholes in general.

While I agree with you, the anonymous factor of the internet breeds more hateful comments. How many of these people would openly say these things to their intended targets face? Some, for sure, but not as many.

Or... the anonymous factor allows people to voice their actual feelings without the fear of social repercussion. The internet doesn't breed anything. It's the people who feel they can "finally speak their mind without being judged and deemed a social pariah."

Quite a few thoughtful things would never be said out loud as well. Anonymity is a two-edged sword; as they say, the true measure of a man is who he is in the dark - and anonymity is the perfect dark.

A big number of humans prefer sadism to generosity. Some people don't wanna accept that.

I would, but I don't bother with Twitter. If anything I wish the reasonable folks would just take their marbles and go to another site or form exclusive IRC chatrooms that keep the idiots away. Let Twitter crash and burn like what's happened to Muh Zoo.

50% is not really a lot. Is it even a statistical anomaly? If you want to make the argument that 50% of the population globally is women, then of course 50% of hate speech would also be from women.

I agree with you to an extent, women are guilty of this shit too. But the whole thing is, it's only now started being reported on -- its nothing new. They just want fresh meat. The only thing I disagree with is, men were and are always the disposable gender. Women will, and shouldnt really, be thrown under the bus for it the way men are. Until the sex ratio is balanced it will always be that way.

It's counterintuitive to a lot of people that tweets qualified as "misogynistic" would come from women in such quantities. The same people wouldn't think anything odd about women insulting each other over clothes and body image, but they're not apt to think it scales to that degree.

This is the Feminist an narrative in action. Follow the links, pay attention to the language presented.

Because then they can use "internalized misogyny" to discredit women on the fly. As if women can't dislike other people who just happen to be (gasp) women.

Because now that it is fairly common knowledge that Feminists are man haters, the new strategy is to spin this awareness back into Feminist control once more. By acknowledging women are capable of hatred towards other women using Feminist language, it is still the trap of legitimizing Feminist rhetoric, such as the word misogyny for example. As long as they can keep that word, and other words coming from Third Wave identity politics in use, it will still permeate into the mainstream consciousness, which is what the socialist Marxist takeover is all about. They want you to forget that gender dysphoria is a mental illness, and that terms like misogyny and objectification are easily discredited with logic. (Do women face discrimination? Of course, but not to the extent that Feminists want you to believe. Also, focusing the spotlight on terms like these still keeps the people in gynocentric mindsets, completely ignoring the plights of men, and other forms of bigotry/discrimination that have nothing to do with gender.) If they can keep the conversation going and continue to spin the narrative long enough, people will begin to accept this new language as the truth regardless of veracity of the claims.

Also note the pushing of the new Feminist symbol, and the rhetoric of "taking back the internet for all" as though it was ever misogyny that took the internet away from people in the first place. If they can keep the conversation focused on divisive rhetoric, people still stay confused, un-united, and utterly incapable of forming a resistance against censorship from the government and by extension the globalist agenda.

What needs to happen is people need to begin challenging this narrative by not only refuting claims, but also pointing out what is really discrimination and bigotry. We need to push rational points of view that don't use oxymoronic language and deceptive paradoxical talking points to manipulate people through emotion into seeing what reality is.

Show the real stats. Talk about what's real. Present another perspective. The male perspective is one. Hell, let's not forget to remind people that the NSA is literally watching our every move and the progress to turn America into a police state is very much well under way because of all this bullshit.

Their metric isn't great though. Their idea of misogyny is saying "slut", "whore", and body shaming? With that in place, I wonder how many of the "misogynist" tweets are from teenage girls.

Here is a link to the actual study (not included in the article for some reason): http://www.demos.co.uk/files/MISOGYNY_ON_TWITTER.pdf

No mention of how they determine the sex of each Twitter account, which is a pretty big omission for a study about gender trends on Twitter.
