Yes. And it's becoming more and more common in classes, especially media classes like literature.

well now i feel old, because like my forefathers before me i'm going to say "this is what's wrong with our youth"

I can't blame the youth. They are there to learn. I blame the administrators for not maintaining their standards. But, this is yet another example of the problems of having college education required for everyone. Then colleges just become businesses having to hock themselves to the masses and lower their standards in capitalism's never ending race to the bottom.
