Also parts wearing down from joseling and heat. Never mind the finger print reader. How long is an electronically controled firing pin inhibitor going to last after repeated trips to the firing range.

Or is the firing pin initiated electronically? Could it ever go off accidentally? That actually could have some positive effects on trigger quality but anything as expensive as an electronic gun didn't have that problem to begin with.

FWIW, there ARE guns with electronic triggers out there already in the high-end competitive shooting circuit (think Olympics and World Cup competitions). Near as I've heard, there has not been one single accidental discharge due to the electronics since they first hit the scene in the 2007~2009 time frame.

As for gains, it's mostly a consistent trigger pull ~ it simply Never changes. Good for precision shooting, zero benefit for home or self defense.
