Have you read the article David Byrne is specifically talking how the cut that the publishing companies are taking is too much for streaming services. It's not "Oh woe is me for not making enough money" it's about transparency and renegotiating the percentages with today's ways of consuming music.

I read it. Musician unions ought to go after the ISP's who are charging by the GB for content they don't own without paying appropriate royalties.
Also ought to go after ticketmaster type companies who screw artists AND fans out of value for money, make it prohibitively expensive to see shows, and keep most of it to themselves.
The music industry hasn't changed much in an organizational/criminal way
