I just really do not like Morissey. Not clicking the youtube link or the invidio robo-link. Morrissey is really an asshole. I mean seriously, he changed the words to Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love" to make a very stupid point in a direct way, when Lou Reed made the same point in a much more eloquent way with the original lyrics. It seems Morrissey doesn't grok irony or artistic distance. I rarely get offended by artists or performance, but dude was projecting arrogance and hostility while performing a song by a much smarter person than he will ever be, and he did it it front of thousands of concert-goers and millions upon millions of youtube victims for all eternity. Also, the personna he projected was not at all engaging.

I have been TV-free for almost 30 years now. I raised my daughter as a single father without any TV. Changing "I love to watch things on TV," to "I hate to watch things on TV" was fucking stupid and born of a stupid, hateful, combative mind which does not comprehend the things it attempts to usurp. There's this thing called "irony," which is sometimes a more powerful communication method than bitchy fagwad posturing, Morrissey. I'm ... so tired ... of fags fucking things up in an effort to pose all glorious on T fucking V, Morrissey.

Lou Reed is overvalued by many, I agree.

I actually think he's under-valued. Not a super-genius guy, but he did his thing and it had it's impact, more than Morrissey can say for himself 40 years later.
