If his two hits netted him stones like popularity, then sure. Avicii is one of the biggest names in EDM, which is far more popular live show wise than billboard charts would lead you to believe. EDM fans go to shows, they don't buy albums.

Agreed. Just happens to be the niche with the most time/parent's money to spend on concerts/festivals. Look at how Ultra Music Festival tickets sell out in hours, then triple in price.
