Big fan of the original [my favorite movie of all time], the 2000 remake wasn't bad, this... I made it through maybe two minutes. I didn't mind a Black Jesus but they had to get a retarded looking Black guy? Judas was WAY over dramatic.
I was interested in seeing Alice's take on the Herod role so I youtubed it and even that looked gimmicky to me.

Cooper was far too old to give a good Herod performance. He could barely fucking move. His singing was ok, nothing special. There are dozens of aging rockers who could've done better, maybe moved around the stage a bit instead of standing still, propped up by Vicodin and a stupid cane.

What specifically are you calling "blasphemy"? The entire production? Even the original? Or is it just the bullshit way they cram diversity into it?
I assume you're religious? I wanted to hear Christian's take on this the most.

I bet you get all triggered when about the second amendment, though.

I saw the original and it reminded me of a high school or jr college production. I guess, given enough time and money, you can make a better show.
