Why does Finn, who was stolen from his parents and brainwashed to be a stormtrooper, talk like he's from the street?

He is from the hood division, raised to infiltrate the Planet Compton.

People like JJ Abrams are masters of being SJWs (the real definition of the term) but also masters of exploitation as well. It's not hard to see what's going on.

But at least he is creating what he wants to see, instead of bitching about endlessly on twitter.

"Didju see dat?" "DIJU SEE DAT?!?!?!" I loved the movie, absolutely loved it. But I did pull an ermagersh face the few times where he went full compton.

That's one of my big gripes with the movie, his lines are so out of place for a Star Wars movie.

Abrams is a hack. It is to be expected. The next star wars movie will have "Time travel" where somebody goes and fixes the past because Master Luke says so. Of course he won't be called a Jedi Master. They'll have to give him a different title.

Finally someone who sees this too! I've been ranting about fucking time travel being in all his work. I think it's his crutch or something.

"Obi-Wan, I have to get back to the year 1985."

"Who's leader of the Empire in 1985?"

"Ronald Reagan..."

Not really a plot hole, but the First Order talks to their stormtroopers like they need to be convinced to fight. This is dramatically different than all other episodes where stormtroopers are simply told to fight.

ep 2-3; they're genetically manipulated to be obedient and compliant. ep 4-6; it's not clear if they're clones or just normal citizens recruited. There's EU material stating that clones were outlawed between ep 3-4. But in any case, if you've got a dark lord of the sith sitting in the emperor's chair, the "convincing" happens through the dark side of the force: ie. fear and intimidation. This was pretty clearly shown in Vader's interaction with the officers of the fleet. ("Apology accepted, Captain Needa")

This may have to do with the fall of the Sith Lords and the storm troopers no longer being mentally propelled in to situations. Although if that's the case they should go back to using clones.

He had to split the pieces of split hairs to get 40 of those. I could probably answer most of them if I cared to, and the rest fall under "It's a movie. Go find me a perfect movie and then we can talk." I saw the film. I enjoyed it. I am older than Episode IV. Hating Star Wars must be what the cool kids are doing this year.

It's a movie. Go find me a perfect movie and then we can talk.

That's a bullshit excuse. Flaws shouldn't be excusable because of the existence of other flaws. That's what cowards do.

Still a lot of the points were covered in the film the author is either baiting for clicks or just didn't pay attention.

I enjoyed it as much as I would enjoy any Transformers movie, a lot of action happened, stuff blew up, it was fun, but when the credits roll you realize there were a lot of plot holes. Example the Giant Death Star with zero defense.

Nobody will ever be happy with this franchise...

Yeah, no matter what, there will be legions of angry fans who hate any new Star Wars movies.

The article is more like "40 nitpicks" rather than 40 plot holes. Some of them are really reaching.

The typical rabid fangirl response. Instead of even being willing to admit that the movie could have flaws but other parts redeem it, you just insist that anyone who points out problems with the movie will "never be happy with anything".

No need for the insult. I'm not a rabid fangirl. I'm not even particularly fond of Star Wars. I'm just stating my opinion. No need to be an ass about it.

I never said it couldn't have flaws. I don't even disagree with a lot of the points on this list. But don't even act like there aren't hordes of typical cynical neckbeards trashing the movie because it will never live up to their unrealistic expectations.

When you get handed a $2 billion franchise you gotta do better than this steaming pile of shit.

I saw Star Wars IV in the theater three times. It was that good (until Lucas decided to edit it after the fact). After being burned for the last four movies, I'll never pay to watch another Star Wars again.

I will see it eventually, but I am setting the bar low in terms of story and plot.

Movie isnt bad at all, these are just somethings that are just there. I could literally do what this guy did to virtually every movie ever. With that being said Im not trying to hype the movie up for you at all since its always better to have a low bar going into a movie but It is better than the prequels which I think we at least all hoped for

Go in with the mindset that you are an 11 year old wanting to see laser and lightsaber fighting. That is the way to enjoy it. If you start trying to pick it apart you wind up hating it. really no different than the first 6 movies in the series.

The best part was BB-8. I wish they would do a spin-off with BB-8 Walle Style.

BB stands for basketball, doesn't it. I think he's cousins with Wilson.

It's a good movie, but I don't think that it's a good Star Wars movie
