Watch the Red Letter Media review of Jack and Jill. It'll answer alot of your questions.

That was very informative. Thanks! I am actually wiser because of that review.

So, for anyone that chose not to watch the video(s) listed, this is what it boils down to: Sandler pitches a "movie" that will have lots of ad placement, employs his friends to act in this travesty of a "movie", uses the budget of the film to pay both himself and his friends a monster of a paycheck, and then throws the quality of the "movie" to the wolves. It's a scam to make cash for his inner circle and for the companies who want their product featured. Remember, just because a movie is critically panned and is hated by everyone, doesn't mean it isn't a great business decision in terms of the company and the actors involved.

This is another good article about Sandler and how the utter flop of Funny People, in which he laid his soul bare, has let him (probably) on this path.
