Archived I miss good SCI-FI movies (movies)
submitted 5.4 years ago by IveSeenYouNakid
I am a huge SCI-FI fan. Watch them all, good or bad. In the past year or so I am really ending these movies underwhelmed. The ideas are tame and have all been done before it seems. Does anyone have any unique SCI-FI films they could recommend where the premise isn't the same old same old?

Blade Runner
The first Matrix movie (the sequels just didn't have the same feel or anything really new to them).
Dune
Outland (Sean Connery is a mining colony sheriff, and a bad ass)
Cyber City Oedo 808 (three part anime series set in the future)
Akira
Ghost In The Shell
...Bit of an Anime rush at the end there, but then most of the good Sci-Fi I have watched in the last few years, has been animated.
