It was the lowest key trailer for what i assume is supposed to be an action movie.

Yeah, that did it. That comment has led me right to the problem.

See,it's not low key and there are action scenes in it. One of which is Han shooting it out with someone on a train. Han Solo, hero of the Space Battles series, set in space, with space ships,is fighting it out on top of a train like an old western. And that pretty much showed me why I hate it so much. It's unimaginative.

You have Han Solo,a famous character known for crazy adventures, with an iconic ship and a galaxy of possibilities open to you,and what do they show us? Essentially an administrative building and a shoot out on top of a train. They refuse to show the lead clearly because they obviously have no faith in his ability. That's what was nagging at me.

Thanks for helping me figure that out.

When you seek umbrage, you find it.

That would be my guess and my response, but nobody here really knows your emotions well enough to answer your question. Anyone else would just be guessing, including me.

So, my guess is that you went into it expecting to not like it, possibly for good reasons. It's hard to be objective after that. If a dog bites you, you stop petting it - even though it may never bite you again. Hell, it may have even been your fault that it bit you. It doesn't really matter, after the fact.
