  • Zulu ("The company will fix bayonets at my command. Company! Fix. Bayonets")

  • Aliens ("I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.")

  • Gladiator ("My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius ....and I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.")

If you swapped the last one for Master and Commander I'd probably steal your pick :D

Great Movie! I want to read the books apparently there are a bunch of them.

[–] 8_billion_eaters 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Is it too late to change it? I forgot about that great flick.

Terminator 2

The Thing

Children of Men

[–] iSa63vXCC8 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

I love The Thing. Well, the 1982 remake with Kurt Russel anyway.

[–] LlamaMan 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Really the only one imo. At least the newer one gave it a solid attempt; but failed in terms of plot/spookiness. Honestly haven't even seen the '52 version.

[–] goatsshadow [S] 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago  (edited ago)

dark... but I guess Julianne Moore is def fappable at the end of the day too :D

edit: before she gets her jugular shot to shit... great movie

[–] LlamaMan 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

I can watch Terminator 2 100000000 times and never get sick of it. I can do the same with the Thing because I have seen it a dozen times and still don't remember who the thing is when I watch it again. Children of Men is filmed in an amazing way that makes me splurge.

Jack's POV 16 was definitely in the running.

Jeremiah Johnson, Life Aquatic, and Dr Strangelove.

[–] goatsshadow [S] 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Dr. Strangelove is some good taste.

[–] hungir_strike 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

That movie never fails to make me laugh.

[–] hangry 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

yeah, those are good ones...

Metropolis (1927) Rear Window (1954) The Apartment (1960)

[–] goatsshadow [S] 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

[–] hangry 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

If you've never watched Rear Window you are in for a treat.

Nausicaa, Army of Darkness, Die Hard

[–] Rakosman 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Army of Darkness is in my top 5, but didn't make top 3. It was my favorite movie for a long time.

[–] BaitSauce 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

I don't even know how many times I've watched it, doesn't seem to get old for me.

[–] DeadBeatNigger 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

NAUSICAA! I don't know a single person on this planet that has heard of or seen Nausicaa. Great pick!

[–] elitch2 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Valley of the Winds?

[–] BaitSauce 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

yeah it was hard between that and princess mononoke, I watch both of them quite often but I enjoy nausicaa a bit more.

Leon: the Professional: 1994 film by Luc Besson

True Grit: 2010 the one by the Coen brothers

Tekkonkinkreet: 2006 anime

[–] iSa63vXCC8 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Every time I think of Leon, I can't get Sting's Shape of My Heart outta my damn head.

[–] 8_billion_eaters 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

True Grit. ...one of the few remakes that was better than the original. "My name is Forrester. I practice dentistry in the nation..."

[–] SixStringSamurai 0 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago

Southland Tales, Princess Mononoke, Terminator 2

[–] ThrowMetotheSpiders 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

How did I forget about Princess Mononoke!

[–] goatsshadow [S] 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Princess Mononoke was one of my first VHS internet orders by mail... good pick

[–] Reddiggoat 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago

Haven't seen Southland Tales mentioned in a long time. Just in case you aren't aware of the full story:

Neat. Always thought the whole story was very underrated. Hope to get all the graphic novels someday soon.
