This is an excerpt from the video journal of naturalist, Richard Proenneke. In 1968 he traveled into a very remote region of Alaska, built a cabin, and lived there for almost 30 years.

There are a lot of themes that should resonate with MGTOW's, and I found it interesting.

  • valuing peace and solitude

  • eschewing materialism

  • self-reliance/self-sufficiency

  • the desire to be challenged/tested by nature

The last one is particularly worth noting. He doesn't want an easy life - even if he wants and uncomplicated life. He wants to learn what he's made of.
