This is an excerpt from the video journal of naturalist, Richard Proenneke. In 1968 he traveled into a very remote region of Alaska, built a cabin, and lived there for almost 30 years.
There are a lot of themes that should resonate with MGTOW's, and I found it interesting.
valuing peace and solitude
eschewing materialism
self-reliance/self-sufficiency
the desire to be challenged/tested by nature
The last one is particularly worth noting. He doesn't want an easy life - even if he wants and uncomplicated life. He wants to learn what he's made of.
LOVE THIS! I have both parts of the documentary (some folks don't even know there is a part 2) saved on my PVR. This documentary is both intriguing and relaxing to watch. The man is outstanding.
This is an amazing video and an incredible man. It's a very high quality video for it's time, still very watchable today.
The man fells timber a year ahead of time, and lets it cure on the mountainside. He returns later with minimal gear, including the metal heads for his tools, for which he crafts the handles himself. Builds his cabin, with stove, just in time for the the snowfall. Fucking badass.

So, what are some of the highlights? Am I right in my assessment that it aligns with MGTOW values?
